Vocal/Choral Activities at Bayshore

Singing with the choir contributes to proper breathing, posture, and stage deportment for the Academy student. Chorus 1 is for beginning students with no experience. Women’s Ensemble is for 9-12 grade classes with no prior experience. The Broadway Bruins Show Choir and MusicMakers Vocal Ensemble are open, by audition, to students with prior experience. Show choir performances contain modern pop and broadway music with choreography. MusicMakers is an advanced madrigal ensemble and performs as ambassadors for BHS. Classes are also offered in Rap/Stomp Choir, Music Appreciation. Piano Lab 1, Music Theory 1 and Dual Enrollment/AP Music Theory. A spring musical provides the Academy student an opportunity to participate in a Broadway production or musical revue with their peers and interact with professionals in the community.
