Educational guardianship enables a person other then the parent(s) to enroll and make educational decisions for the student. The guidelines for granting educational guardianship are:

1. The parent(s) does not currently live in Manatee County.

2. The parent(s) has been verified by a local agency as being unable to care for the child (documentation is required).
