Lifeskills at Freedom

An environment that fosters learning is one where students feel safe, nurtured, and supported by their classmates. In addition to learning about reading, writing, math and the world around us through thematic units, we will practice LIFESKILLS and enhance our habits with character education.
  • Eighteen important character building skills :
  • cooperation
  • integrity
  • perserverance
  • friendship
  • responsibility
  • patience
  • curiosity
  • caring
  • pride
  • effort
  • common sense
  • problem solving
  • courage
  • initiative
  • flexibility
  • organization
  • sense of humor
  • resourcefulness
LIFESKILLS will provide parameters to help students evaluate their performances individually and in small groups. Each week during community circle time, we will celebrate classmates utilizing these important skills in our learning communities.
