ABOUT REINHARDT BADOW

I am an immigrant from Germany. We moved to the United States when I was nine and I lived in Minnesota for 10 years, but the tropics have always attracted and been a fascination for me. I moved to Florida shortly after graduation from high school, and have resided here ever since. Even as a young child, I have always been very interested in nature, and it was a natural vocational selection to become a high school life science teacher. I graduated from USF in Tampa, Florida, and have taught at Bayshore High School for 17 years. My favorite out of school activities include growing orchids and other interesting plants, diving for fossils and collecting aquatic animals for my many aquaria, maintaining a miniature "zoo" at home, and playing beach volleyball.
