CLASS INFORMATION
Currently I teach Spanish 1. I feel the advantages of taking a foreign language are many. Spanish is the most widely used second language in the United States. Learning Spanish will increase a person's opportunities in the job world. Knowing a foreign language will also increase your awareness and appreciation for other cultures, as well as enriching your life.

SPECIAL THINGS ABOUT MY CLASS

I stress reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. I teach pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar with an emphasis on learning and understanding interrogative words in order to ask and answer questions in the target language. Various aspects of Spanish culture is also studied. My students are required to do a major research paper on an aspect of Spanish culture. My students work with the French students and present their topics to both classes. We end the project with a fun-filled food festival with French and Spanish food.
