Coach Kim Cook has been teaching in Manatee County for 23 years and has been a teacher at Bayshore for the last 11 years. She has been our school's track coach since 1991. During her tenure, she has produced two state champions, Jon Kruse and Ronnie Bussell, and countless district, regional and state qualifiers. In addition to coaching track at Bayshore, Coach Cook is the girls' cross country coach. In the past she has coached volleyball, swimming, and cheerleading.
Coach Cook is a 1987 graduate of Glassboro State Colllege in Glassboro, NJ with a B.A. Degree in Health and Physical Education, K-12. She graduated from Palmetto High School in 1982 and attended Manatee Junior College until 1984 when she transferred to Glassboro. While in college, Coach Cook competed intercollegiately in the sport of softball where she was a DH and a utility fielder.
At Bayshore, Coach Cook teaches in the PE department. Among her classes are volleyball, basketball, and team sports. You can find Coach Cook in the gym or on the fields almost every day.
