Classroom Expectations

1. Be on time.

2. Arrive to class prepared with paper and a writing utensil.

3. Be prepared to work your best.

4. Use appropriate language.

5. Be respectful to yourself, your teacher and your peers.

Acceptable uses for Independent Study Time include, but are not limited to:

1. Creating/using study tools, such as note cards or graphic organizers.

2. Completing homework assignments.

3. Completing projects.

4. Making up a missed test.

5. Assigned or pleasure reading.

*** Proper use of this time is required to successfully complete this course!



Grade Determining Factors
25% - Daily reflective journals

25% - Notes and Class Participation

50% - Independent Study Time



What is Independent Study Time?

This is approximately one hour of resource time when students are required to be working on assignments relating to their academic courses, such as Algebra or Biology. This important hour is part of EVERY CLASS.
